Anwar Belayachi is a Senior Partner Solutions Architect at Red Hat leading the modernization, automation and digital transformation of the Global Partners & Alliances program. He serves as a customer-facing catalyst diving as deep as necessary to understand the customer’s business goals, processes, and IT problems faced at the enterprise level. Anwar creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes a strategic relationship that goes beyond addressing a single situation. His mission is to become his partner’s trusted advisor for all matters relating to digital transformation.
Anwar possesses 23 years of experience in application/software development, solution architecture, cloud infrastructure, automation, and digital transformation. He spent 20 years working at CSC/CSRA both in the public and private sectors. He started as a Software Engineer working at the Air Traffic Control System Command Center where he led the modernization of the FAA’s Traffic Flow Management applications and mission critical systems. He implemented innovative technical solutions to improve data processing, air traffic monitoring and real-time FAA operations by employing open source technologies and tools. Throughout that journey, Anwar partnered with trusted technology vendors to adopt and implement best of breed processes and technology.
In 2011, while at CSC, he built the first secure multi-tenant private cloud for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Anwar architected and developed a fully automated self-service provisioning portal that offered DHS agencies a multi-dimensional catalog offering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) packages. He also built a custom financial/billing system to track purchase orders and allocate consumption budget integrating it into the self-service portal. For his work on the DHS Cloud Program, Anwar was recognized with the prestigious North America Public Sector President’s award both in Technology & Process. He is the only dual winner of such award in its history.
Anwar received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Master’s degree in Software Systems Engineering from George Mason University with Highest Distinction where he was an All-American Scholar.
